Softare Development Analyst

full time position

The Software Development Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the development of NextPower Capital's proprietary web-based financial modeling platform as well as our tax credit trading platform. The platforms are principally used for supporting our investment banking activities involving in solar, wind, energy storage, green hydrogen, and EV charging infrastructure projects. Successful candidates will be self-motivated and interested in both software development and financial analysis; experience as a software developer not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coding business logic in Python and Rust with support from senior developers
  • Project finance modeling in MS Excel
  • Working with a variety of structures
  • Training new clients
  • Bug identification and resolution
  • Software documentation
  • Writing tests
  • Investment memoranda preparation
  • Generate client proposals
  • Other responsibilities as they arise
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Quantitative aptitude for software development and financial modeling in Excel
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and detail orientation
